NAUI eLearning and Self-Study
Through NAUI eLearning and self-study, you can begin to learn to scuba dive immediately. Your instructor will provide you with an activation code for access to the on-line course where you can watch the videos, review all of the course materials and even take your final exam. You will also receive the NAUI Scuba Diver Education System which includes a student manual, workbook, dive tables, logbook, DVD and audio CD presentation of the academic content. The system contains everything you need to study and learn the course material in a format that will suit your individual learning style.
Orientation Session During your Orientation Session, your instructor will review the confined water and open water schedules, will show you how to assemble and disassemble your gear, begin teaching basic skills, review the dive tables and answer any questions you might have. Confined Water Training
In the pool, you will learn and practice diving’s fundamental skills. Like all aspects of learning to dive, confined water sessions are fun and enjoyable. They increase your comfort level and make the transition to open water diving easier.
When you’ve completed your confined water training, you’ll be ready for the final and most important phase of earning your entry-level diver certification: your open water training dives.
Open Water Training
Open water training consists of six dives conducted over two days. On each of the six dives, you will have the opportunity to apply the skills you mastered in the pool, and to make a guided dive under the supervision of your instructor. You have two options:
· You can join us along the Florida Panhandle for a weekend of open water training.
· If you already have a vacation planned to a warm water destination, we can provide you with referral paperwork so that you can complete your training at the dive destination of your choice.
Once you’ve completed your open water training, you’ll be awarded the NAUI Scuba Diver certification, your ticket to a lifetime of diving adventure.
